Best Software for creating 2D wireframes, sketches and engineering drawing.

If someone is looking for 2-D sketching and drawing software in the mechanical, automobile, and architecture industries, AutoCAD is one of the best software that can be used to create layouts along with annotations and dimensions.

Pros

It helps in drawing sketches for all projections such as 2D, 3D, and Isometric.

Cons

We cannot run any live simulations in the software to check the meshing or how the final product is working inside a machine.

This tool was one of the engineering fundamentals back in our old days till now, a lot of companies are using AutoCAD since it is reliable and easy to work with. This tool helps creating different types of products, structures, buildings,.. etc. In addition, most draftsmen enjoy working with this tool since they can create and imagine all they need using this tool.

Cons

Using it for 3D models isn't easy and quite difficult since u need to add for each item a certain block hence you will have a family. Using it for 3D projects wont help too much and clients don't like presenting their projects " if it was 3D" using AutoCAD.

The best features on Autocad is the Printing 2D planning with any scale I want also it is possible to make several layers of the drawing, which enables me to separate the functions of each drawing within the same plan.

Cons

Weakness of exporting the plan from AutoCAD to the Revit program there was some issue in scale also 3D drawing tools are still neglected and not very developedyet.

The best thing about this tool is that it always surprises me with its new updates and that the creators are not afraid to innovate, I have found that they even have an AutoCAD Mobile App which is wonderful, I can enter my plans every time I want and when I want, I have always felt comfortable with this tool, happy working with AutoCAD

AutoCAD is the best tool to create designs, I have used this tool for years and it has been the best decision I have made, I can create innovative part designs, it has helped me to replace obsolete pieces of equipment with more than 30 years of existence, which still work and which major suppliers stopped making replacements, and it has served me tremendously.

Cons

It is a very solid tool and it has always given me more happiness than problems, although sometimes it tends to get slow due to some functions, I still do not think about changing it, because it has a very robust and wonderful interface for my day-to-day work.

In Autocad, I have found that that there are only limited Colours that should be part of the improvement for Autocad.

While Exporting and Importing files, AutoCAD gives you a little bit of headache and which is very time-consuming.

Great Design tool

I had used this software for pipe routing for new systems and TI systems and it has been very helpful. It takes some time to learn it, but once you do it is an amazing tool for construction, a must to have.

I had also used it to develop System P&IDs. In comparison to its competitors, this software offers much more tools that can get you through any project successfully.

Once you have a basic understanding of the functions, it is easy and convenient to use.

Pros

The easiness to design any system from actual equipment design to facility construction.

The ability to create templates for drawings that are used typically in most projects, instead of creating a new drawing from scratch I am able to create a template with this software and save blocks that I am able to use at any point when making new drawings.

Cons

Actually, there is not anything that I dislike about it, on the contrary, I found this software very useful and it allowed me not to only use it at work, but also on my own when doing small projects as a lancer.
